Christian Quarterly book club
February 7 at 9:00 AM at PJs coffee on airline drive
(BOOK LIST bELOW - CHECK FOR CHANGES)
Welcome to our Christian Quarterly Book Club! This is an opportunity to read and share about Christian non-fiction and some fiction that will help us grow in faith and get to know our God. We will meet quarterly at PJs Coffee on Airline Drive at 9 AM on the first Fridays of the quarter.
Format of discussion:
Try to read the entire selection before meeting and write down questions, discoveries, and anything else you feel like discussing. If you don't finish the book - it's completely fine - come and share and listen. This is a time to hear other perspectives and flesh out things you know or didn't know about our Creator. A study guide may or may not be supplied each time - or notes of sorts. Our discussion will *try* to follow a pattern.
Our goal is to open our hearts to God in a way that helps us see Him more clearly, know Him better, and strengthen our relationship with Him and our church family. Please don't be intimidated by the books - it is why we do it quarterly. We need to have time to read the deeper subjects and sit in our own confusion. God is so big we cannot possibly comprehend all that there is to Him so our hope is that we walk together, spurring each other on towards deep relationship with our Creator.

February 7, 2025: TIME & BOOK CHANGE!! Unoffendable by Brant Hansen
This book was chosen because it is a less cumbersome book to read in the holiday time frame. I am so excited to meet in the new year to discuss some theology with you!
May 2, 2025: The Scripture Way of Salvation: The Heart of John Wesley's Theology by Kenneth J. Collins - Give yourself some time to get through this one, write notes in the margins, and be ready to ask or answer questions. Theology is hard to grasp sometimes and it gets us in the weeds. But, let's remember that Jesus is the reason, and all this discussion is how we get to know Him better. That is our goal, to know God, love God, and have faith and trust in His word.
July 11 (our first Friday is Independence Day! Let's meet on the 11th!)
